Beet Battle 2026: Students Growing the Future
How much food can grow on just one square meter? The school competition “Beet Battle” invites students to explore this question through hands-on experience in sustainable agriculture, food production, and environmental stewardship.
Participating schools will design, plant, and maintain their own 1-m² garden bed, learning how planning, plant selection, and care influence harvest success. The project promotes teamwork, creativity, and a deeper understanding of where our food comes from.
The competition launches in March 2026 and is open to the first 20 schools that register. Teams will document their progress throughout the growing season, with winners announced at a virtual closing event in September 2026.
Beet Battle is organized by Bayer, LifeHub Monheim, CEPLAS, and INVITE, combining expertise from science, industry, and research to inspire the next generation to think sustainably about agriculture and nutrition.
Full details on participation and registration are available in the official flyer.
